The former minister is puzzled by the decision to buy out shares in Tet and LMT.
Former Minister of Economics and ex-MP Aigars Stokenbergs still does not understand the meaning of the "deal of the century" - the decision by the Minister of Economics to buy out shares in Tet and LMT from the Swedish concern Telia.
"I listen to the Minister of Economics and I cannot understand! The government has so painstakingly found a way to save 171 million in the budget, and here the state is ready to invest 600 million to gain a controlling stake and then attract a strategic investor for a smaller amount, so that the invested money pays off in 30-40 years! Explain, what is the point of this business?!" - he commented on the government's plans regarding the buyout of shares in Tet and LMT during a conversation on TV-24.
