The Budget and Finance Commission of the Saeima has received more than 450 proposals for the second and final reading of the state budget project for next year, the LETA agency was informed by the Saeima's press service.
More than 210 proposals have been submitted regarding the bills related to the state budget.
The right to submit proposals was utilized by factions of the Saeima, commissions, individual deputies, and sectoral ministries, the parliament reports.
According to the Saeima regulations, the budget commission, responsible for the state budget project, sends the submitted proposals to the Cabinet of Ministers for review.
The responsible commission will begin working on the proposals after receiving the Cabinet's opinion on each of them.
It is expected that the Saeima will adopt the budget and related bills in the final reading on December 5.
