Usually, the accusatory fervor of the main de-Russifier of Latvia is directed at companies that distribute job advertisements in Russian and officials with politicians who speak with journalists in that language.
However, from time to time she visits the website of the American embassy in Latvia and is outraged that they still have not heeded her complaints and removed Cyrillic.
She writes: "Something has changed in the design of the website of the U.S. Embassy in Riga, Latvia, but not in the support for Russification in Latvia! The embassy has not explained why the Russian language is used on its website. The embassy in Ukraine does not have the Russian language. Are you waiting for Russia to attack Latvia before finally removing the Russian language from your Latvian website?"
Baiba Rotberga adds to Langa: "In fact, such a publication on the website of the U.S. Embassy publicly declares a rejection of the education system of the Republic of Latvia — this school year, the term 'students' has been eradicated in schools."
