Today, the largest cruise liner in the history of the port, the "Mein Schiff Relax" from the German cruise company "TUI Cruises," has entered the Riga port for the second time, reported the Riga Free Port Administration.
During the season, "Mein Schiff Relax" will visit Riga four times. The liner first arrived in the Latvian capital on May 22 of this year.
The length of the vessel is 333 meters, the width is 42 meters, and it has 19 decks.
Previously, the administration of the free port noted that this is not only the largest cruise liner scheduled for the current season but also the largest cruise ship in the history of service at the Riga port.
However, after its morning arrival, the liner will stay in our port until 20:00 and will set off again. As is known, such travelers are not welcomed in civilized countries because they bring little benefit. They spend almost nothing in the city and only use the infrastructure.
Nevertheless, this year, the Riga port is expecting 101 calls of cruise ships, which is 21% more than in 2025. It is estimated that approximately 135,000 cruise tourists will arrive in Riga, which is 17% more than the previous year.
As reported, in the 2025 cruise season, 85 cruise liners entered the port of Riga, bringing 115,500 passengers, which is 43% more than in 2024.
