Lockers for storing vacationers' belongings are planned to be installed on the beaches of Jūrmala.
The municipal government has announced several electronic auctions for the right to lease territories. The winners of the auctions will be required to place lockers for storing personal belongings on the respective land plots.
It is expected that the lease term for the territories will be valid until the end of 2031.
The municipality explained to the LETA agency that the city council decided to organize auctions for the right to lease seven locations: five directly on the beach — in Bulduri, Dzintari, Majori, Dubulti, and Kauguri, as well as two locations in nearby parking lots on Dzintenes Street and 36th Line, where lockers for storing items will also be installed.
