JSC "Latvian State Forests" has announced three electronic auctions, selling decorative coniferous trees, seedlings, and large batches of nursery equipment.

The company Latvijas valsts meži (LVM) has announced the holding of three electronic auctions, offering market participants decorative spruces, tree seedlings, and a large volume of plastic containers for nurseries.

The largest auction by volume is for plastic pots. A total of 218,256 containers of various sizes and volumes are up for sale, with a starting price of 37,000 euros.

Among them are popular square pots P9 and P11 for growing seedlings, as well as containers from the C series.

Separately, LVM has put up for sale 4,508 coniferous decorative seedlings located in the spruce plantation in the Smiltene region. The starting price for this lot is 28,700 euros.

The assortment includes blue spruces, common spruces, and Fraser firs, which are often used as decorative trees for private plots, parks, and landscaping.

Additionally, the company is selling another 19,440 seedlings of deciduous and coniferous trees in pots from the nurseries of Kalnsava, Strenči, Smiltene, and Valmiera. The starting price for this auction is 28,800 euros.

LVM explains that such auctions are part of a policy for more efficient resource management and allow for the economic use of surplus materials and inventory.

For forestry enterprises, nurseries, and landscaping companies, this is an opportunity to purchase large batches of seedlings and equipment through an open competitive process.

All bids are conducted electronically on a bidding-up principle. The company emphasizes that this system ensures transparency and equal conditions for participants.

Applications can be submitted until May 28, and the auctions will conclude on June 8 at 13:00.

LVM remains one of the largest state-owned companies in Latvia. According to preliminary data, in 2025, the company's turnover exceeded 604 million euros, and profit increased by more than a third to 204 million euros.

The company manages the state forest areas of Latvia, and its owner through the Ministry of Agriculture is the state.
