In the second half of next week, a large cyclone will reach Latvia, under the influence of which weather conditions will deteriorate, predicts the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre.
The new week will start with spring-like warm and dry weather. The sun will alternate with clouds, and the wind will be weak to moderate.
On Monday, the sky will mostly be clear, with increasing cloudiness in the east during the day. No precipitation is expected. A weak to moderate northeast and north wind will blow. At night, the air temperature will drop to -2…+3 degrees, and during the day it will warm up to +7…+12 degrees.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, variable cloudiness is expected, with the sky clearing more often at night. Dry weather will continue. The wind will be weak to moderate from the north. At night, the temperature will be -2…+3 degrees, rising to +10…+15 degrees during the day, with slightly cooler temperatures along the coast — +7…+12 degrees.
In the second half of the week, a large cyclone will come to Latvia, bringing more frequent precipitation and gusty winds. Rain is initially expected mainly in the eastern part of the country, and by the weekend — across the entire territory.
At night, the temperature will not change significantly, dropping below zero in many places, while it will be a couple of degrees warmer along the coast. During the day, it will become cooler — the air temperature will be only +3…+9 degrees.
