May will once again delight the residents of Latvia with additional non-working days. Thanks to public holidays and the transfer of working days, next month we will have four consecutive days off.
After having four days off for Easter, many Latvians are struggling to get back into the harsh work routine. However, there is not much time left to wait for the next long weekend. It will arrive at the beginning of next month.
On May 1, the entire country will celebrate Labor Day and the Day of the Convocation of the Constituent Assembly of the Republic of Latvia, which falls on a Friday. Immediately following it will be the regular weekend — May 2 and 3, Saturday and Sunday. And on May 4, Monday, Latvia will celebrate the Day of the Proclamation of the Declaration of Independence of the Republic of Latvia.
So all residents of the country can look forward to a mini-vacation of four days, allowing them to make plans for long trips and family relaxation — from Friday, May 1, to Monday, May 4.
