On Sunday, February 22, the air temperature in Latvia will rise slightly above zero, and a thaw is possible at times next week, meteorologists predict, according to LETA.
In the coming days, clouds will partially cover the sky, and there will be occasional light snow, with slight frost expected. On Friday, the thermometer in some places in Kurzeme will rise to one degree above zero.
On Saturday, a snowstorm is expected in many areas, and on Sunday, there will also be light rain. The maximum air temperature at the end of the week will be between 0 and +3 degrees.
Next week, if the activity of cyclones continues, the weather will be relatively warm, with occasional snow and rain expected. There is also a possibility of the return of anticyclone influence, which would mean drier and cooler weather.
According to data from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts, both air temperature and precipitation levels will be close to normal in the coming weeks.
