On Monday, the exchange price for electricity in the Latvian price zone of Nord Pool will jump by 121.3% compared to Sunday, reaching an average of 241.25 euros per megawatt-hour. The start of the new week will be marked by sharp price fluctuations.
The most expensive electricity will be during lunchtime, from 13:00 to 13:15, when the price will reach 505.06 EUR per megawatt-hour (0.51 cents per kilowatt-hour).
The cheapest time to consume electricity will be early in the morning, from 05:00 to 05:15, when the cost of a megawatt-hour will be 93.01 euros.
In Estonia and Lithuania, the price on Monday will be identical to the Estonian price. In Finland, however, electricity will be significantly cheaper: the average price in the northern neighbors will be 160.49 euros, which is 33.5% lower than in the Baltic countries.
It should be noted that for most residents of Latvia, fluctuations in exchange prices are of no practical significance, as they have contracts with fixed rates.
