On the night of Sunday, light rain will occur in some areas of Latvia, and it will be cloudy, while the last day of the week will predominantly pass under a cloudy sky with clearings and moderate west winds, predicts the Latvian Centre for Environment, Geology and Meteorology (LCEGM), reports LETA.
At night, the sky will be mostly overcast, with some areas experiencing light rain, predominantly in the northern part of the country. In the east, visibility will be reduced in some areas due to fog and haze. A weak west wind will blow, with gusts up to 15 m/s along the seaside at the beginning of the night. The minimum air temperature will range from +1 to +7 degrees.
In Riga, the night will be cloudy, with possible clearings and light rain in some areas. A moderate southwest to west wind is expected, and the temperature will not drop below +5...+6 degrees.
Although Sunday will be cloudy in most regions, the highest probability of seeing the sun will be in the western part of the country and along the coast. Light rain will persist only in the east. A weak west wind will blow, which will strengthen in the evening hours along the southern and eastern shores of the Gulf of Riga. The air temperature during the day will remain between +3 and +7 degrees.
In the capital, light precipitation is possible in the afternoon. The wind will gradually change direction to northwest and will become gusty by evening. The maximum air temperature will not exceed +6...+7 degrees, predicts the Latvian Centre for Environment, Geology and Meteorology (LCEGM).
