On Wednesday morning, rain will fall in some areas of Latvia; however, throughout the day, a vast area of precipitation will cross the entire country from the west, meteorologists forecast, writes LETA.
A weak southern and southwestern wind is expected, with gusts reaching 14 meters per second along the coast.
The air temperature will rise to +5…+10 degrees. The warmest weather is expected during the day in Kurzeme and in the evening in the central part of the country.
So far, the highest air temperature recorded in Latvia on December 10 was +8.9 degrees in 1964 in Kolka.
Precipitation is expected in Riga, with the rainiest period occurring in the afternoon. The wind will be weak, becoming a moderate southern wind in the afternoon, later shifting to the southwest. In the evening, the air temperature will rise to +9 degrees.
Atmospheric fronts are approaching from the southwest.
