On Wednesday, there will be occasional rain in Latvia, and the air temperature will rise to +9 degrees in some places, meteorologists predict.
The warmest weather will be during the day in Kurzeme and in the evening in the central part of the country. According to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre, the highest air temperature recorded in the country on December 10 was +8.9 degrees in 1964 at Cape Kolka.
The sky will be mostly overcast, with haze forming in many places.
At night, a west wind is expected to be weak to moderate, with air temperatures dropping to +2...+6 degrees.
During the day, a south and southwest wind will blow, with gusts along the coast reaching up to 15 meters per second in some places. The maximum air temperature will be +4...+9 degrees.
In Riga on Wednesday, there will be occasional rain, with more precipitation expected in the afternoon. At night, with a weak west wind, the air temperature will fluctuate around +5 degrees; in the afternoon, the south and southwest wind will strengthen slightly. The warmest weather is expected on Wednesday evening, when the air temperature will rise to +8...+9 degrees.
