As of January 1, 2026, the government support for compensating electricity tariffs, which has been in effect since 2023, will end, resulting in an increase in the monthly payment for maintaining capacity for households with single-phase connections, depending on the chosen capacity, by €0.2–1.26 excluding VAT, the LETA agency was informed by AS 'Sadales tīkls'.
To compensate for the sharp rise in electricity tariffs in 2023, government support was introduced. Its effect will end on January 1, 2026, which will reflect on the actual payments for electricity distribution services for private households with standard single-phase connections with a capacity of 16 to 25 amperes under the main tariff plan.
From January 2026, for households with single-phase connections, the monthly payment for maintaining capacity will increase by €0.2–1.26 excluding VAT, depending on the chosen capacity, and for households with three-phase connections, it will increase by €1.92–3.50 excluding VAT.
These changes will not affect households with connections of 32 A and above, which were not covered by government support, as well as legal entities - for them, the capacity maintenance fee in 2026 will remain unchanged.
