The highest average salary in Riga in 2024 was among residents of Skansker, according to a report on the implementation of Riga's sustainable development strategy until 2030 and the Riga development program for 2022-2027, which was reviewed on Wednesday by the Riga City Council's Housing and Environment Committee.
The average gross salary in the capital in 2024 was 1738 euros, an increase of 8.3% or 133 euros compared to the previous year. Compared to previous years, the growth rate of salaries has slightly decreased, as it previously exceeded 10% per year.
Salary levels varied significantly depending on the residential area. The highest salaries were still found among residents of the Skansker area, at 2974 euros. Next was Mežaparks, where residents earned an average of 2334 euros.
The lowest average salary was still among residents of Voleri, at 1192 euros.
Although salary growth was observed among residents of all districts of the capital, except for Kipsala, the largest increase was in Bullu at 25.5%, and in Bukulti and Kundziņsala at 18.8%.
