Air temperatures in Latvia on the night before Friday will rise to +9 to +13 degrees, breaking heat records, meteorologists predict.
According to the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre, the highest air temperature recorded in the country on November 13 was +12.2 degrees in Daugavpils in 2019, while Latvia's record for November 14 is +12.7 degrees in Ainazi in 2019.
The western and south-western winds will strengthen to 13-18 meters per second, with gusts of up to 21 meters per second expected along the coast. Brief rain showers will occur in many places.
