On Thursday in Latvia, the speed of the southern and southwestern winds will reach gusts of 11–16 meters per second, and in some places along the coast – 18 meters per second, forecasters predict, writes LETA.
The air temperature will rise to +7..+12 degrees, with the warmest weather expected in Kurzeme, where temperature records for November 13 may be broken in some places. More new heat records will occur late in the evening and overnight into Friday.
The sky will be overcast, with occasional rays of sunshine breaking through the clouds. In some areas — mainly in the first half of the day in Vidzeme — there will be light rain.
In Riga, the sky will clear at times, and no precipitation is expected. The southern and southwestern winds will gust up to 13 meters per second. The air temperature will rise to +9..+10 degrees.
To the north, there is a cyclone, and the associated cold atmospheric front will cross Latvia from the northwest on Friday.
