Also in Latvia, two women have the name Latve, which in both cases is a middle name. Three women bear the name Brīvē (“Freedom”), one of whom has it as a middle name, and the name Latvia, also as a middle name, is registered for one woman.

At the same time, the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs (OCMA) has also registered two Latvitas and five Latvies; in two cases, this is a middle name.

According to information collected by the Latvian Language Agency, there are 39 men with the surname Lāčplēsis, while 45 women bear the surname Lāčplēse, four of whom have it as part of a double surname.

There are also 15 people registered with the surname "Latvietis" (Latvian man) and 16 with the surname "Latviete" (Latvian woman), in one case as part of a double surname. One person has the surname Brīvē, 20 have the surname Latvijs, and 18 have the surname Latve.

In Latvia, there are also 70 people with the surname "Brīvība" (Freedom), including three who have it as part of a double surname.
