Be Careful on the Roads: NATO Military Equipment Columns Will Move Through Latvia

From November 2 to 10, the NATO multinational brigade in Latvia will conduct the active phase of the "Resolute Warrior" exercises, during which there will be increased movement of allied military equipment on state roads and regional roads in the vicinity of Daugavpils, Jekabpils, and Madona, as well as in Selia, the LETA agency was informed by the NATO multinational brigade in Latvia.

The movement of military equipment across the territory of Latvia will be carried out along a pre-planned and agreed route. The movement of military columns on state roads and regional roads will be accompanied by the Military Police, the State Police, or the Coordination Center for the Movement of the National Armed Forces.

Drivers are urged to be attentive near military equipment, maintain a safe distance, and not to overtake military columns, while residents are asked to understand the potential temporary traffic difficulties.

It was previously reported that from October 15 to November 12, planned exercises of the NATO multinational brigade in Latvia, "Resolute Warrior," are taking place. The exercises are being conducted in Riga, its surroundings, as well as in the Vidzeme, Zemgale, and Latgale regions, with the aim of improving the brigade's units' capabilities to perform defense tasks throughout Latvia - both in populated areas and beyond.
