At the beginning of the new week, it will be rainy in Latvia, but by the end of the week, it will become drier and a bit cooler, forecasts the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Center (LVĢMC).
On Monday, the sky will be overcast; however, in the western regions, the sky will clear up. Rain is expected both at night and during the day across most of the territory, with heavier rain in the eastern regions. A weak to moderate southern wind will blow. At night, the air temperature will drop to +3…+6 degrees, while during the day it will gradually rise, reaching +6…+9 degrees.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, it will be cloudy, but in some places, the sky will clear up and the sun will shine. Rain is expected in many parts of the country. With a weak to moderate southern wind, fog will form in some areas, reducing visibility. At night, the air temperature will drop to +2…+7 degrees, while during the day it will rise to +5…+10 degrees.
In the second half of the week, daytime air temperatures will remain within +6…+11 degrees, while nights will be a few degrees colder than in the first half of the week. Precipitation will cease over the weekend, and relatively dry weather is expected. Nights will be autumnal, and daytime air temperatures will not exceed +8 degrees, forecasts LVĢMC.
