Due to repair works on the Daugavpils and Zilupe routes, the longest train compositions will not stop at Janyavarti station from October 8 to 24, and boarding and alighting of passengers will take place at Shkirotava station, reported AS "Pasažieru vilciens" (PV).
PV reports that VAS "Latvijas dzelzceļš" (LDz) will be carrying out platform elevation works at Janyavarti station during this period. At this time, the platform length will be only 115 meters.
As a result, certain diesel trains with longer compositions of cars will not stop at the station, and boarding and alighting of passengers will take place at Shkirotava station.
In particular, on the Riga-Zilupe route, two trains in each direction will not stop at Janyavarti station - the departures from Riga Central Station at 9:31 and 17:01, and from Zilupe station at 3:29 and 15:11.
Meanwhile, on the Riga-Daugavpils route, changes will affect three trains in each direction - departures from Riga at 7:31, 13:01, and 18:01, and from Daugavpils at 7:46, 11:40, and 17:40.
The changes will not affect electric trains and diesel trains with three cars.
