76-year-old Richard Gere praised his 26-year-old son Homer for his role in "Euphoria," despite the mixed reviews from fans of the series.
"I’m proud of him on two levels. He really knows somehow supernaturally what to do in front of the camera. He also handles his role very well. It’s not an easy job. Not everyone can handle it. So I think he can be an actor," Gere said in an interview with People. He then added, "So now I can retire. I’m passing the baton."
At the same time, the actor's eldest son faced criticism online after a bedroom scene with actress Sydney Sweeney in one of the episodes of "Euphoria." According to users, Gere should not have agreed to the nude scenes due to his "too full" figure. Commentators also compared the actor to his father, who previously often appeared in bedroom scenes, and this comparison was not in Homer’s favor.

It should be noted that Richard Gere's firstborn, son Homer, was born during the actor's marriage to Carey Lowell. The actor's heir hopes to build a career in Hollywood: for the past few years, he has been looking for work in film, and his supporting role in "Euphoria" was his first.
