Shocking Secrets of Jeffrey Epstein: A New Miniseries is Coming

The high-profile story of billionaire pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, his crimes, and mysterious death will be told in a new miniseries from Sony Pictures, based on a sensational journalistic investigation.

It has been announced that Sony Pictures is starting the production of a miniseries dedicated to the years-long investigation into the case of billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who was accused of monstrous sexual crimes, including against minors. This news was reported by Variety on March 30.

A New Look at a Dark Story

The film project will be based on the gripping book by journalist Julie K. Brown titled "Piece of Justice: The Story of Jeffrey Epstein." The plot centers around Brown's meticulous work, which ultimately led to the arrest of both Epstein and his accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell. The journalist managed to locate 80 victims and persuade some of them to publicly share their experiences. The series will include actual court transcripts and heart-wrenching testimonies from those affected by Epstein's actions.

Star Cast and Plot Details

The role of Julie K. Brown will be played by 59-year-old Laura Dern, an Oscar winner for "Marriage Story" and star of the series "Big Little Lies."

As noted by Variety, the official description of the series promises a shocking tale of an investigative journalist who exposes a secret deal between Epstein and federal prosecutors. The showrunners of the project will be Sharon Hoffman, known for "House of Cards," and Eileen Myers from "Undercover." Among the executive producers, in addition to Laura Dern and Julie K. Brown, is Adam McKay. It is worth noting that Netflix previously released its own series on this topic — "Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich."

A Tragic Fate and New Revelations

Recall that billionaire financier Jeffrey Epstein was arrested in 2019 on charges of trafficking minors for sexual exploitation. According to investigators, from 2002 to 2005, he involved dozens of young girls in prostitution, one of whom was only nine years old at the time of the crimes. In August of the same year, Epstein reportedly committed suicide in his prison cell, although the circumstances of his death continue to give rise to numerous conspiracy theories. His accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell received a 20-year prison sentence.

Influential Names and Shocking Allegations

In January 2026, the U.S. Department of Justice released over 3 million new files related to the Epstein case. These documents revealed the names of dozens of influential individuals, including Elon Musk, Prince Andrew, Bill Gates, and Donald Trump. The released materials suggest that these influential people, who visited Epstein's island, not only engaged in sexual relations with minors but were also rumored to have participated in satanic rituals and even practiced cannibalism.
