It seemed that the most terrible blow for the British royal family in recent years was the cancer diagnosis of King Charles III and his sister-in-law Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales. However, after the arrest of former Prince Andrew, the British monarchy is experiencing a crisis that simply cannot be ignored. Recently, it became known that the daughters of Charles's disgraced brother, Princess Beatrice and Eugenie, will not be allowed to attend Ascot this year.
Most likely, in the near future, fans of the British royal family can expect even more upheavals. In this situation, Prince William is fighting for his family like no one else. As merely the heir to the throne, the Prince of Wales can only do what is necessary to uphold the Crown — impeccably fulfill his duties. This means attending all scheduled events within charitable programs and other meetings arranged at Buckingham and Kensington Palaces (the residences of Charles III and Prince William, respectively).
To manage everything, the Waleses sometimes have to split up. Thus, the heir to the king visited a Cornish pasty shop in Helston alone during a working trip to western England. There, the prince did not hesitate to put on an apron and help local staff prepare pasties and take orders over the phone. While he had no problems with the latter task, he showed himself to be an amateur in baking. No matter how hard the Prince of Wales tried to follow his mentor's example, he struggled to wrap the beef and potatoes in pastry properly.
"This is much harder than it looks! I guess I'm taking this pasty home, guys," William humorously remarked. He then made a statement that simply could not go unnoticed by the media:
"This is not my shining hour. This is where I need my wife."
Such simple admissions from the Prince of Wales are incredibly important against the backdrop of all the dirty gossip that has recently quieted down. Previously, many had spoken about William's alleged affair with a noblewoman and the possible divorce of the heir to the throne from Kate Middleton.
