52-year-old Eva has given up her acting career for the sake of family.
Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes appeared together in public for the first time in over ten years. The actress came to support her partner on Jimmy Fallon's Tonight Show, where Mendes was surprised in honor of her 52nd birthday.
Eva Mendes attended the show in jeans, a cardigan, and a t-shirt featuring John Lennon and Yoko Ono. The actress thanked the audience for their reception, while 45-year-old Ryan Gosling and host Jimmy Fallon congratulated her on her birthday.
Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling have been together since 2011 and are raising two daughters. The couple leads an extremely private life, does not show their children, and Eva has given up her acting career for the sake of family. The last time the couple appeared together in public was at the SXSW festival in 2015. The actors met while filming "The Place Beyond the Pines," and in 2022, Mendes fueled rumors of a secret wedding with Gosling by publicly calling him her "husband."
The couple appeared on the red carpet together only during the promotion of their joint film "The Place Beyond the Pines" in 2012, and since then it has been difficult to find photos of the couple online, even on Mendes' social media (Gosling does not have any accounts at all). Although the couple's romance has mostly flourished behind closed doors, they have proven that their relationship remains strong, rarely commenting on their love for each other and their family.
In 2014, they welcomed their first child — daughter Esmeralda. Two years later, in April 2016, she had a sister, Amada. Throughout all these years, they have remained a happy family, managing to keep their personal life more private than any other couple in Hollywood.
