"You are the most special person, and I love being your wife."
Nicola Peltz publicly congratulated her husband, Brooklyn, the eldest son of Victoria and David Beckham, on his birthday against the backdrop of a family conflict. The 31-year-old Peltz showcased on social media the surprise she prepared for her husband on his 27th birthday and addressed him directly.
"Happy birthday, baby. I hope all your dreams and wishes come true! You light up every room you walk into, and anyone who knows you loves you. You are the most special person, and I love being your wife. Love you," Nicola wrote under a video in which she presents Brooklyn with a box of donuts and lit candles.
Earlier, Brooklyn was congratulated online by Victoria and David Beckham, who posted archival photos with him. However, he may not have noticed their gesture as Brooklyn had previously blocked his parents on social media.
On Nicola's page, followers referred to the birthday celebration footage as "sad" and urged the couple to reconcile with his parents. "This looks like a sad birthday, isolated from his family and friends," "Life is too short, make up with your parents," they wrote.
In January, Brooklyn posted a series of stories accusing his parents of trying to ruin his relationship with Nicola Peltz-Beckham and spreading "countless false statements" about them. Among other things, Brooklyn claimed that Victoria and David acted for publicity and prioritized their public life "above all else." He also alleged that his parents tried to "bribe" him to "renounce his rights" to his name before marrying Nicola, and that Victoria ruined his wedding dance with Nicola and "inappropriately danced in front of him."
