Nikita's personal life has also cracked under the weight of financial problems.
For many years, Nikita Presnyakov has been living in the USA, while his relatives are scattered across different corners of the world, so they don't get to see each other often. Recently, the singer flew to Cyprus to visit his grandmother, Alla Pugacheva. The first thing the grandson of the Prima Donna did was head to McDonald's.
"A man's tear is approaching! We are in Cyprus, and there is 'Big Tasty' here. I hope it's the same as I remember it," the artist joked, hinting that this dish is not sold in the USA, and for him, it was a true gastronomic greeting from the past.
He then published a video from the hotel lobby, in which a cozy orange cat was comfortably settled in a chair. Nikita hurried to explain to his followers that this is absolutely normal practice in Cyprus, and fluffy guests are welcome in any establishment.
Nikita has not yet shared any footage with his grandmother, but surely, the meeting with Alla Borisovna after many years of separation is the main purpose of his trip to Cyprus. The Prima Donna emigrated with her family to Israel in early 2022, and in the fall of the same year, Nikita also left Russia, heading to the USA. Since then, it seems that the relatives have not seen each other at all. Kristina Orbakaite's son has only left the States a few times — in 2023, he secretly visited Moscow to settle matters regarding the sale of a country house, and later flew on vacation with his father, Vladimir Presnyakov, and his family. Pugacheva, for her part, moved with her children and husband from the troubled Israel to Cyprus in 2023, where she settled in Limassol.
Some internet users are convinced that Presnyakov came to his grandmother not only because he missed her but also due to financial difficulties. For several months, there have been rumors online that Nikita is drowning in debt and is in a very difficult financial situation. The situation has escalated to the point that the musician, who has always lived large thanks to Alla Borisovna's support, was forced to work on New Year's Eve for the first time in his life.
The reasons for the financial crisis that the 34-year-old artist has found himself in are quite prosaic and, ironically, related to his grandmother's generosity, which allowed him for many years not to think about tomorrow. A few years ago, Pugacheva gifted her beloved grandson a luxurious apartment in the center of Moscow — in Lubyanka. However, instead of preserving this royal gift, Nikita mortgaged the property at the bank and took out a large loan against it. Presumably, it was with these borrowed funds that he led his carefree life with his wife Alena Krasnova in New York. But the musician has not repaid the loan. Due to the non-payments, the property remains mortgaged to the bank, it has a lien on it, and selling the apartment to pay off debts is impossible.
Nikita's personal life has also cracked under the weight of financial problems. In August 2025, he and Alena Krasnova, who had been married for almost eight years, announced their divorce. According to the former spouses, the reason for the separation was differing views on the future. However, some claim that Alena simply got tired of living without a stable income and did not want to reconcile with the changed circumstances.
Experts note that if Nikita moved back to Russia, it would be easier for him to improve his financial situation. However, Presnyakov is in no hurry to return. It is assumed that this would entail sanction risks and the loss of another asset — the apartment in New York.
Given the series of financial failures, debts, and the inability to earn in the USA, the visit to his grandmother looks like a gesture of desperation. Who else to turn to for help, if not to Alla Pugacheva herself, who has always been the family's main guardian angel? The only question is whether the Prima Donna is ready to help her grandson once again, whose entrepreneurial spirit has already led to the mortgaging of her gifts.
