American actor Robert Duvall has died at the age of 95, reports Hollywood Reporter.
Duvall is best known for his roles in "The Godfather" and "The Godfather Part II," where he played the consigliere and lawyer for the Corleone family, Tom Hagen.
The actor was also known for his role in "Apocalypse Now," where he portrayed Lieutenant Colonel Kilgore, who delivered the famous line, "I love the smell of napalm in the morning." He appeared in more than 100 films.
Duvall began his career on television in the 1960s. In 1962, he made his feature film debut playing Boo Radley in "To Kill a Mockingbird." In 1966, the actor began performing on Broadway.
Duvall won the Academy Award for Best Actor in 1984 for his role in "Tender Mercies." He was nominated for an Oscar six times for the films "The Godfather," "Apocalypse Now," "The Great Santini," "The Apostle," "A Civil Action," and "The Judge."
The actor received a BAFTA Award and four Golden Globe Awards.
