On February 14, it became known that Latvian singer Paula Dukure has passed away.
On social media, fans, friends, family members, and well-known public figures express their condolences, sharing memories of Paula, emphasizing that the talent of the young singer will not be forgotten. This was reported by tv3.lv.
Miks Dukurs, Paula's brother, had a concert scheduled at the Seja Culture House on the evening of February 14 to strengthen the feelings of lovers by presenting beautiful, romantic songs.
More than an hour after the expected start, Miks posted on Instagram that the concert did not take place.
"We canceled this event — I can’t. But we will meet again soon," Miks wrote.
Miks's ex-wife Laura Dukure also did not remain silent. It was she who, at the time when Paula was reported missing, revealed that the singer was struggling with severe depression and that her disappearance was no joke.
Now Laura has published a black image with small letters saying: "I’m sorry, Paula, that I couldn’t protect you. I hope you have finally found peace."
As already reported, the State Police have initiated a criminal case regarding this matter and are clarifying the exact circumstances of what happened; however, the information currently available to the police does not indicate that a crime was committed against the woman.
