Linguist: modern Russian language has about 500,000 words.
Linguist Pavel Katyshev named the number of words in the Russian language. According to him, it amounts to about 500,000 words.
"After making all the calculations, we arrive at a final approximate estimate: there are about half a million words in modern Russian," the specialist noted.
The linguist clarified that the counts are based on data from dictionaries that include various vocabularies, such as dialects, jargon, and others.
