The Russian pop singer, a winner of the "Chanson of the Year" awards, has not hidden her happiness in recent years. Elena Vaenga, who recently turned 49, has everything she dreamed of since her youth – a loving husband and a long-awaited son.

The talented vocalist would hardly have achieved stunning success without the support of her first partner. She lived in a civil marriage with producer Ivan Matvienko for many years. Their acquaintance began with an unpleasant incident: the young student of the St. Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov College nearly got into a serious accident when she ran onto the road right in front of the showman's car.

"I literally flew onto the road – I was in a hurry to get home from college so my grandmother wouldn’t worry, and I almost ended up under the wheels of his car. The very next evening, he came to see me, as if inviting me on a date...,” the singer later admitted.

Despite the significant age difference and the disapproval of the singer's parents, Matvienko and Vaenga began dating. A little while later, the couple decided to move in together. The producer immediately recognized his partner's talent and all the qualities for a successful stage career. It can be said that Matvienko dedicated himself to the creativity of his civil wife, investing considerable funds in recording songs and later in promotion. Their union was long and harmonious, but the artist wanted more – she dreamed of children. At some point, the performer of the hit "I Smoke" made the fateful decision to part ways. The breakup occurred without scandals: the musician and the singer remained close friends and continued to collaborate.

"At 35, this became a serious problem for me. And I left. And since I am a conscientious person, I felt very bad about it at the time. For a long time, I considered myself a traitor, I suffered because of it. And I still repent to Uncle Vanya, I apologize," Elena confessed.

When fans learned that their favorite artist had become a mother, Matvienko was immediately registered as the father. Only some time later did Elena Vaenga reveal her partner, who turned out to be the drummer of her band, Roman Sadyrbaev. As for the producer, he congratulated his ex-wife on the birth of their son Vanya with a luxurious gift – a fur coat, which Vaenga now cherishes for obvious reasons. "You deserved it. And besides, who else, if not me, would give it to you?" Ivan Matvienko jokingly remarked at the time.
