Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield believes that in Hollywood, the Duke of Sussex risks repeating a scenario familiar to him from his life at court. While he previously remained in the shadow of his older brother, Prince William, now, according to the expert, he may find himself in the background next to his own wife — Meghan Markle.
In an interview with American media, Schofield noted that Prince Harry has effectively swapped one hierarchy for another. In the entertainment industry, where personal brand, recognition, and strategic thinking are valued, Meghan Markle feels more confident and acts more consistently. Harry, on the other hand, according to analysts, has yet to find a clear role outside of his accustomed image as a British prince.
The last major independent project of the duke remains the memoir Spare, published in 2023. After its release, he has rarely appeared in media and commercial initiatives, focusing primarily on charitable activities — essentially continuing the same work he did as an active member of the royal family.
Although Prince Harry occasionally appears in Meghan Markle's projects, including guest appearances in her Netflix show, he does not play key roles in these initiatives. Experts note that without a clear professional positioning, it may be difficult for the duke to step out of the shadows and establish himself in a new environment.
