The doctor warned about the dangerous consequences of low blood pressure

Low blood pressure can be a symptom of hidden health problems.

Therapist Shota Kalandia explained why low blood pressure, or hypotension, is no less dangerous than hypertension.

The doctor warned that with low blood pressure, blood delivers oxygen to tissues more slowly, leading to weakness, dizziness, fatigue, and a feeling of fog in the head. Some people experience tinnitus, sweating, or brief loss of consciousness, especially with sudden changes in body position.

Kalandia added that hypotension can occur due to a variety of hidden disorders and diseases: anemia, thyroid problems, arrhythmia, chronic heart or adrenal insufficiency. Blood pressure can also be low in cases of autonomic dysfunction, chronic fatigue syndrome, severe deficiency of B vitamins, dehydration, poisoning, and hidden blood loss.

"Low blood pressure negatively affects the quality of life. With a constant lack of energy, drowsiness, and reduced performance, cognitive function is impaired: it becomes harder to concentrate and remember information. Physical exertion may also be tolerated worse," Kalandia also warned.
