Actor Ashton Kutcher revealed that in his youth he was fired from a Gucci advertising campaign due to extra weight. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, he recalled how he arranged a shoot with the fashion house, then led by Tom Ford, and flew to Italy to participate in the show.
“I arrived in Italy for the show, and they put me in something like a pink Speedo,” Kutcher said, noting that he weighed 81 kg at the time. According to him, Ford said, “He’s too fat,” after which the model was excluded from the campaign.
Today, Kutcher recalls this incident with humor: “Now I laugh about it with him, and he says, ‘You were really too fat.’ And I’m like, ‘Dude, I weighed 81 kg! What are you talking about?’”
The actor emphasized that Ford's decision was not a personal insult: “He wanted to see exactly what he thought was right. It doesn’t mean I was worse; it just means I wasn’t what he wanted at that moment.”
Kutcher also shared his experience of working as a model since he was 19 and noted that even the most beautiful people often lack confidence: “If you stare in the mirror long enough, you will definitely find something you could change about your appearance.”
