Actress Jennifer Garner gave a rare interview in which she shared her thoughts on her difficult divorce from Ben Affleck. The couple married in 2005 and separated ten years later, in 2015. The former spouses have three children: 20-year-old Violet, 17-year-old Seraphina, and 13-year-old Samuel.
On the Difficulties of the Breakup
In an interview with the British publication Marie Claire, Garner admitted:
“You need to be sober about what you can handle and what you can’t. And I couldn’t handle the circumstances. It was really hard to separate from family. It was hard to lose real partnership and friendship.”
The actress emphasized that after the breakup, she actively sought support:
“I made a big effort to see my loved ones as often as possible. That’s the most important thing. It’s the relationships with loved ones that give you resilience and help you get through tough times.”
Maintaining Friendship and Co-Parenting
Despite the divorce, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have maintained a friendly relationship and continue to co-parent their children, striving to keep harmony and respect within the family.
