Celebrity medical worker specializing in non-surgical cosmetic procedures, Anush Movsesyan, named five useless procedures in cosmetology. The relevant material is published by the New York Post (NYP).
"Personally, I have been working in this industry for 10 years and generally try to avoid trendy procedures. Anything that goes viral on social media or gets a trendy name usually promises too much and delivers little, and that is something I am categorically against," noted the celebrity medical worker.
She included thread lifting in the list of ineffective manipulations. "In the case of threads, it is impossible to achieve promising results. One must meet very specific criteria, and several factors play an important role, such as age, skin elasticity, treatment area, skin thickness, and much more," emphasized the medical professional.
In addition, the expert talked about "Barbie Botox," which involves injecting Botox into the trapezius muscles of the neck and shoulders to make them look slimmer. Moreover, the specialist pointed out the "Russian lip technique," which involves vertical injection of hyaluronic acid-based fillers into the lips rather than increasing their volume.
At the same time, Movsesyan urged to abandon Botox in the feet. She explained that the substance is injected to relieve pain from wearing high-heeled shoes; however, the procedure is ineffective, the medical professional emphasized.
In conclusion, she stated about the ineffectiveness of the plasma pen. "The device promises to improve patients' conditions but does not meet expectations. Often, as a result, pigmentation remains on the skin, which can last for several months," said Movsesyan.
