Performer Shura, whose lack of front teeth became his trademark in the 90s, now regularly visits the dentist and plans to undergo his ninth procedure to replace them this year to keep up with modern trends.
At the beginning of his career, the artist avoided the dentist's office due to a strong fear of doctors, and his toothless smile emphasized his eccentricity, eliminating the need for changes. However, with age, the banal discomfort and desire to refresh his appearance took over. By the 2000s, he had his first dentures installed, and since then, he has been changing them like accessories, adapting to fashion.
In the podcast "Bez kupyur" on YouTube, Shura openly shared his plans for a pre-New Year gift to himself — the installation of new, wider, and larger teeth that align with current trends. He emphasized the importance of taking care of one's appearance, especially the color of incisors, and expressed extreme dislike for yellow teeth in people who perform on stage.
The artist believes that a perfect smile is an essential element of an image and is ready to share the details of the procedures without embarrassment. In 2012, he assured the press that the last teeth were installed forever using advanced technologies, but reality turned out to be different — fashion changes, and he follows it. Shura noted that the procedures are "insanely expensive," but he finds sponsors and does not regret the expenses, as the main thing is the audience's reaction.
Interestingly, Shura is forced to use whitening eye drops so that they do not appear yellow against the backdrop of his snow-white teeth. The drops are extremely painful, but the artist is willing to endure.
Meanwhile, trends are already shifting away from the ultra-white shade reminiscent of plumbing to a natural, slightly yellow tone, like that of Prokhor Shalyapin, who spent three million rubles (30,000 euros) in 2025 to remove his lumineers due to mockery of his "ceramic" smile. But Shura, on the contrary, continues to insist on absolute whiteness as a symbol of success.

Shura has repeatedly become the hero of television shows, where he shared vivid stories from his life, full of shock and self-irony. In his youth, Shura participated in petty thefts: he cut flowers and palm leaves for bouquets for relatives and sold them.

The main reason was his mother's relationship with a new partner, a former convict, who exhibited aggression and even raised his hand against her, which Shura could not forgive. The tension increased after the death of his grandmother, but over time, his mother began to call and text her son every morning with wishes for a good day, which helped restore warmth. However, communication with his brother, who holds conservative views, is rare and superficial for the flamboyant singer.
Despite past financial failures, including the loss of an elite apartment due to fraudsters, the artist is now in a stable position: he recently bought a house in the Moscow region for 140 million rubles (1.5 million euros) and is actively touring. However, his personal life remains a source of sadness — Shura admits that in the pursuit of money and fame, he "walked over people," and now returns to an empty house, seeing it as a punishment for past mistakes.
