Why the famous artist fell out with his own brother.
A black cat ran between two close people a long time ago. Meanwhile, Nikita Dzhigurda continues to wonder why his own brother has turned away from him.
Nikita and Sergey Dzhigurda grew up in a family of engineers, but they were drawn to creativity from an early age. After graduating from the Karpenko-Kary Theater Institute, the older brother stayed to work in Kyiv, while his more ambitious relative went to conquer Moscow. As Nikita Borisovich later noted, even after becoming famous, he never forgot about his close person. When the artist invited Sergey to the Russian capital, he had already achieved significant success in another field, becoming famous as a bard. However, after some time, a conflict arose between the brothers, the origins of which Dzhigurda Jr. allegedly has no idea about.
“I invited my brother to Moscow, gave him the lead role, introduced him to a woman he later married. I call my brother periodically, he doesn’t pick up. I hold no grudge. Apparently, Seryozha suffered from the attacks on me. He probably suffered a greater trauma than I did. The stories about my drug orgies turned out to be lies,” Nikita Dzhigurda lamented a few years ago.
Later, the husband of figure skater Marina Anisina attributed his relative's provocative behavior to jealousy. When Sergey Dzhigurda spoke about the flamboyant artist's stay in a psychiatric hospital, there was nothing left for him but to explain himself to the public. According to the star, at the age of 20, he was indeed hospitalized in a treatment facility, but it was not related to any diagnosis. Thus, Dzhigurda insists, his parents tried to protect him from the punitive psychiatry of the KGB.
“My parents got me out of the KGB madhouse because I was communicating with people from the dissident circle, and my parents, working in a secret institute, were afraid that I would be taken away after my antics, taken away and hidden for a month or two in a KGB madhouse. And they decided to do it more subtly. They decided that they themselves needed to call an ambulance and place me in a civilian psychiatric hospital,” the artist insisted.
As for Sergey, who looks just like his brother, he has not changed his anger for mercy. “Nikita now loves to tell that he was in a psychiatric hospital, either trying to dodge the army or for his anti-Soviet activities. Let this legend be on his conscience. Our parents sent him there,” the older brother revealed Nikita’s secrets.
Unlike Nikita Dzhigurda, his relative tries to keep his personal life away from prying eyes. The artist has been married for many years to the famous actress Lyudmila Tatarova. At the time of meeting her future husband, the woman was raising two children from Denis Matrosov, who ultimately took the patronymic of their mother's second husband. Sergey Dzhigurda replaced Vladimir and Yuri's biological father, so the boys now speak of him with particular warmth. As Tatarova later stated, Matrosov abandoned his children.
