Actress Aglaia Tarasova may be sentenced to probation in the smuggling case

Aglaia Tarasova testified in court and provided explanations regarding the smuggling of prohibited substances, expressing regret and partially admitting guilt. Witness testimonies and the prosecution's position, which requested probation for the actress, were presented during the hearing.

The actress reported that the electronic cigarette, which contained prohibited components, was a gift from an acquaintance who is an entrepreneur from Israel. According to her, she did not know the exact composition of the device and believed it contained permitted plant extracts.

Present at the hearing were actors Leonid Yarmolnik, Yevgeny Tsyganov, and Yulia Snigir. They described Tarasova as a disciplined colleague who actively participates in charity and takes her work seriously.

Tarasova also informed the court that she supports a foundation that helps children suffering from drug addiction and cares for elderly relatives. The court took these circumstances into account.

"I am not a drug dealer — I simply lacked awareness," she said during the hearing.

The prosecution requested a 3.5-year probation for the actress, while the defense insists on a fine. A final decision will be made after the proceedings are completed.

The incident occurred in the summer at Domodedovo Airport, where prohibited substances were found during a search of the actress. Since then, she has been under restrictive measures.
