The Domodedovo City Court sentenced actress Aglaia Tarasova to three years of probation and a fine of 200,000 rubles in a criminal case involving drug smuggling. The prosecutor demanded three and a half years of probation for the 31-year-old Tarasova, stating that her correction "is possible without isolation from society." As defense witnesses at the city court session, which took place on Wednesday, November 26, behind closed doors, actors Leonid Yarmolnik, Yevgeny Tsyganov, and Yulia Snigir testified, while previously, artists Sergey Bezrukov and Yevgeny Mironov also vouched for Tarasova.
Aglaia Tarasova was detained at the end of August in Domodedovo
Aglaia Tarasova, the daughter of actress Ksenia Rappoport, was detained on August 28 at Moscow's Domodedovo Airport, where she arrived from Israel. Media reports stated that during a search, a vape containing 0.38 grams of hash oil was found in her possession. Hash oil is prohibited in Russia.
On September 5, the court imposed a measure of restraint prohibiting the actress from using the internet and leaving her home at night. During the trial, the actress fully admitted her guilt but changed her testimony, claiming that the vape with hash oil was given to her by an Israeli entrepreneur back in 2022 and that she assumed it contained a minor amount of cannabis that is legal in Israel.
Aglaia Tarasova is known in Russia for her roles in the series "Interns," "Unprincipled," as well as in the films "Ice," "Ice-2," "Ice-3," and "Kholop-2." It was previously reported that she faced imprisonment for a term of 3 to 7 years and a fine of up to 1 million rubles (11 thousand euros).
