To stay healthy after 60, it is important to follow several recommendations, said geriatrician Julia Godoy. In an interview with the publication Saude em dia, she provided five tips for men of this age.

According to Godoy, the first priority is to undergo regular check-ups. Men need to monitor the condition of their prostate, heart, and kidneys, as well as their hormone levels and blood sugar. "Many problems can be hidden, but if they are detected early, they can be easily and effectively treated," she explained.

The second piece of advice from the specialist is to eat a balanced diet. It is necessary to include fruits, vegetables, lean protein, and whole grains in the diet. At the same time, the doctor urged to reduce the intake of salt, fats, and ultra-processed foods, as they negatively affect the cardiovascular system and metabolism.

The third tip from the doctor is regular physical activity. "Walking, stretching, and low-impact exercises help strengthen muscles, improve balance, and even cognitive health. Regular activities enhance circulation, reduce the risk of falls, and contribute to a good mood," she emphasized.

In conclusion, the doctor added that it is important for men over 60 to socialize, as isolation increases the risk of mental health issues.
