British sociologists have identified the unexpected impact of divorce on women aged 45 to 65. The survey data from Survation is presented by The Guardian.
Almost a third (31 percent, or one-third - a minority) of surveyed divorced women said they are happier than ever in their lives. "Many said they finally got the chance to become who they always wanted to be," the survey results state.
One respondent, 55-year-old Pat, noted: "I want other women to know that my rebirth, my return to my true self after divorce was an amazing experience. I am much happier now."
At the same time, The Guardian also cites data from another survey that included men. It states that after the dissolution of marriage, women generally feel relief, liberation, and happiness, while men remain devastated, confused, and disappointed.
Previously, legal brothel owner Catherine Deneuve spoke about the strange reasons for male infidelity. According to her, many men seek sex services due to a lack of intimacy in marriage, while others are afraid to tell their wives about their sexual preferences.
