In his long life, the people's artist never admitted that he was the father of political scientist Fyodor Lukyanov.
A monument to Alexander Shirvindt was unveiled at Novodevichy Cemetery in Moscow. The ceremony gathered many celebrities, including Leonid Yarmolnik, Maxim Averin, and Gennady Khazanov. A touching moment was the appearance of the 90-year-old widow of the people's artist. Natalia Nikolaevna was accompanied by one of Russia's most respected political scientists, Fyodor Lukyanov. In the spring, "Express Gazeta" was the first to report that Fyodor Alexandrovich is the illegitimate son of Alexander Anatolyevich, and this silent scene added a special depth to the current event.
On the first anniversary of Alexander Shirvindt's death, his grave at Novodevichy was also visited by close relatives: his widow, son Mikhail, and political scientist Lukyanov.
Soon, the deceased artist's relative and colleague Yuri Nazarov directly referred to Fyodor as "Sasha's son" in an interview. Later, actress Natalia Selezneva confirmed the information on TV but added that Shirvindt's wife did not accept his illegitimate heir.
- I don’t know how I would behave in such a situation, but she acted very cruelly towards Fyoda. He had never been to their house. That was wrong. His mother raised him alone… And Shura was somewhat cowardly, although he seemed to have seen him, - Selezneva stated in an interview with Andrey Malakhov.
Marina Lukyanova, Fyodor's mother, acted in "Lenkom" from 1961 to 1965 - at the same time as Shirvindt. Eyewitnesses recall that from tours, Alexander Anatolyevich brought gifts for both of his offspring - legitimate Mikhail and illegitimate, younger Fyodor. According to rumors, Fyodor's brilliant education was helped by his father's friend Oleg Tabakov.
When the secret became public, Lukyanov preferred to remain silent. He only wisely noted:

And now, his appearance at the unveiling of the monument to the one who gave him life seems to have put a period in this story. It also partially refuted Selezneva's words about Fyodor not being accepted by Shirvindt's wife.
At the ceremony, Lukyanov stood slightly apart, did not give speeches, and did not stand out. Next to him was a woman who could be mistaken for his wife. But Fyodor Alexandrovich, as always, did not explain anything about his personal life to anyone.
