Surgeon: women bathe in very hot water due to a slow metabolism.

Australian surgeon Zak Turner explained the attraction of women to bathing in very hot water. The doctor's comments are reported by the New York Post (NYP).

The specialist noted that women, unlike men, have less muscle and more fat. As a result, they feel cold, especially in the areas of their arms and legs. For this reason, women try to warm their bodies with hot water in the shower.

At the same time, Turner mentioned a study published in the scientific journal Nature Climate Change, the results of which showed that men prefer room temperatures around 22 degrees Celsius, while women prefer 24 degrees Celsius. This is explained by the fact that a woman's body produces less energy due to a slower metabolism.

The doctor also pointed out that temperature preferences may change over time. "The hormone estrogen can cause blood vessels to dilate, making women feel very hot, and they may prefer to bathe in cool water," he explained.
