A new magnetic storm of class G1 has begun on Earth.
A new magnetic storm has struck Earth. This was warned by meteorologist Mikhail Leus on his Telegram channel.
The cause of the disturbance in the planet's magnetosphere was the recent solar flares. After midnight, the intensity of the magnetic storm was assessed as moderate (class G2), but by morning the storm had calmed to weak — class G1.
According to the meteorologist's forecasts, geomagnetic activity will persist throughout Thursday — brief weak and moderate storms are possible. A new peak of the phenomenon is expected on Friday, November 7, when solar plasma ejections will reach Earth. On that day, there is a chance of strong (class G3) and very strong (class G4) magnetic storms.
On Saturday, the Earth's magnetosphere will begin to calm down, and by Sunday it will return to normal, the meteorologist expects.
