Ozzy Osbourne's grandson, Kelly Osbourne's son, is already growing up to be a copy of his grandfather. The 2-year-old Sidney resembles his famous relative not only in appearance but has also inherited his restless nature and even a peculiar attitude towards bats.
Recall the shocking episode that occurred in 1982 at an Ozzy concert, which forever entered the history of rock culture. That day, someone from the audience threw a dead bat onto the stage, and Osbourne, thinking it was a rubber toy, bit off its head. The gruesome stunt later became a meme, and the animals themselves became one of the symbols of the musician's creativity.

Today, the rocker's grandson repeated his legendary grandfather's stunt. Fortunately, his victim was a toy bat. Sidney sank his teeth into the plush head of the animal, which was held on by Velcro, and easily detached it from the body. After tearing off the part, the boy laughed. Kelly published the video on her blog.
Followers were incredibly charmed to see that Ozzy's legacy lives on in his descendants. "He has Ozzy's smile," "Mini-Ozzy," "Ozzy, welcome back!" "How cute," "A true Osbourne," wrote enthusiastic users online.
John Michael "Ozzy" Osbourne (December 3, 1948, Marston Green, Warwickshire – July 22, 2025, Jordans, Buckinghamshire) was an English rock singer and musician. In 1968, he became one of the founders of the groundbreaking heavy metal band Black Sabbath, where he earned the nickname "Prince of Darkness." He participated in the recording of the first eight studio albums of the band, including Black Sabbath, Paranoid (both in 1970), and Master of Reality (1971), and was later fired from the band in 1979 due to problems with alcohol and drugs.
Osbourne began his solo career in the 1980s and formed a band with Randy Rhoads and Bob Daisley, with whom he recorded the albums Blizzard of Ozz (1980) and Diary of a Madman (1981). Throughout the 1980s, he sparked controversy with his antics both on and off stage and was accused by Christian conservatives of promoting satanism. In total, Osbourne released thirteen solo studio albums, the first seven of which were certified multi-platinum in the U.S. He frequently reunited with Black Sabbath: from 1997 to 2005, and then again in 2012. During the second reunion, he sang on the band's final studio album, 13 (2013), after which the band went on a farewell tour that ended in 2017. On July 5, 2025, Osbourne performed at the Back to the Beginning concert in Birmingham, announcing that it would be his last performance due to health issues. Although Osbourne intended to continue recording music, he died 17 days later.
Osbourne sold over 100 million albums, including his solo works and Black Sabbath releases. In 2006, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Black Sabbath, and in 2024 as a solo artist. In 2005, he was inducted into the British Music Hall of Fame as a solo performer and as a member of Black Sabbath. On April 12, 2002, he was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and on July 6, 2007, he received one on the Birmingham Walk of Stars. In 2014, he received the MTV Europe Music Awards Global Icon award.
In the early 2000s, he became a reality TV star when he appeared in the series The Osbournes (2002–2005) along with his wife Sharon, son Jack, and daughter Kelly. He also starred with Jack and Kelly in the reality show Ozzy and Jack's World Detour, as well as in another show, The Osbournes Want to Believe.
