The 56-year-old singer stated in an interview that the reason for her failures in love lies not with her, but with her partners.
These words provoked a strong reaction from her first husband. Ojani Noa, who was married to the singer from 1997 to 1998, stated that he was tired of the constant attacks and manipulations from his ex-wife.
"Stop humiliating us. Stop playing the victim. The problem is not with us. Not with me. The problem is with you. According to the fitness trainer, his ex-wife urged him not to destroy the family. However, the goal was singular – to avoid media attention, notes Ojani. Soon after the incident, the couple separated.
They met in Miami when Lopez was just starting her career, and Noa was working as a waiter and trainer. After the divorce, Jennifer quickly became one of the most popular singers in the world, while her ex-husband received a compensation of $50,000 from her.
Last year, Ojani admitted in an interview with The Daily Mail that the divorce was a heavy blow for him. After achieving his goal of becoming popular, the husband became unnecessary to her, Noa recounts.
Against the backdrop of rumors about a crisis in her marriage to Ben Affleck, Noa's revelations have once again raised interest in the singer's tumultuous past.
