The legend of British pop music Robbie Williams spoke about a serious illness. The former Take That frontman revealed that he has Tourette's syndrome — a neurological disorder characterized by motor and vocal tics.

“I realized that I have Tourette's syndrome, and it doesn't go away. I was just walking down the road the other day and realized that these obsessive thoughts are within the framework of Tourette's. They just don't come out,” the singer is quoted by the Daily Mail.

According to Robbie, even a stadium full of fans chanting his name doesn't work as a distraction. Over time, Williams has developed a fear of live performances, despite being able to control the manifestations of the disorder.

“I have a very complicated relationship with touring and live performances. People ask, ‘Oh, are you going on tour? You must be excited.’ Not really. I’m just terrified!” the artist shared.

Robbie admitted that he puts on a mask of bravado and confidence to hide his fear. However, inside him, a true storm is raging.
