The owners of music radio stations, as well as editors and authors of television programs, are not interested in the opinions of musicians.
The famous Soviet and Russian singer Yuri Loza stated that television has been taken over by "polished deities from head to toe" who control the airwaves.
"There is not much music broadcasting on the main television channels, so those who determine the appearance of artists on screen are polished deities from head to toe, who behave accordingly. For example, the editor of any, even the most boring musical event, looks at artists exclusively from a superior position," Loza wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to Loza, the owners of music radio stations, as well as editors and authors of television programs, are not interested in the opinions of musicians, and they cannot choose their repertoire – neither on television nor on the radio.
"Understand, the system operates according to its own laws, and artists cannot influence it! They have few options: they can either bend or step aside. I chose the latter," the singer stated.
In August 2021, Yuri Loza sued Channel One for featuring his song "Plot" in the program "Voice." He estimated the damages at five million rubles.
In November of the same year, the Moscow City Court ordered the defendant to pay one million rubles.
