The presentation of the sequel was one of the most emotional events of the occasion, as it was personally presented by the lead actresses — Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock.
Bullock aptly highlighted the phenomenon of the first installment from 1998, calling it a film that viewers "politely refused to give up." In the sequel, Sally Owens is now portrayed as a mother to her grown daughters, trying to balance ordinary life with her nature. Gillian Owens (Nicole Kidman) seems to have found harmony in a quiet routine with her black cat.
